Hybrid Cards

These cards allow you to tailor the card's features to meet your preferences, such as choosing your own interest rate and rewards package.


There are an increasing number of mix-and-match type Credit Cards which allow you to choose a low interest rate if you have outstanding debt, or cash rewards when you are in a position to pay off the balance in full.


Accucard is the main Issuer of this kind of card, and the company runs several other Hybrid Cards for Lloyds TSB, More Th>n and easyMoney.


The Virgin Credit Card and Egg are amongst a host of Issuers that also offer a mix of cash rewards and a lower interest rate, although these cannot be swapped around.


Although this flexibility is better than being stuck paying an exorbitant interest rate long after you have spent the 1% cash reward, Hybrid Cards generally do not offer the best deal in any of the key areas.
